Paradise is a small group freefly skills camp that feels like a boogie. It’s our most famous skills camp, running for two weeks. You can sign up for week one, week two or both weeks. 2024 will be the 9th edition of Paradise, but only the third time in Castellon.

IN SHORT
This is the perfect camp for all levels: challenge your ninja moves and slice up the sky with top notch coaches or learn basic new freefly skills like head up, head down or angle flying in a small group or 1-on-1 setting. This is a great opportunity to combine personal progress and rad jumps with making new friends at a paradise location. The event includes the typical beach jump and a decent party.

The camp runs Monday – Friday
Your jumps are pre-manifested each day

We land by the beach
We stay in a 4 star hotel & spa right next to the DZ
Your stay includes breakfast, dinner and wine

The setup
We aim to provide a totally care-free event, so that you can focus on flying and learning. We take care of your airport pickup, hotel and food and your jumps are pre-manifested. All coaches are highly qualified and because each coach has very few students, they’re able to give you their full attention. The camp runs for 5 days and we aim for 6 group jumps per day. The camp price includes 20 jumps and if the weather lets us do more, extra jumps can be added on site. The participant to coach ratio is 4:1 on average.

The price
Standard package from 1690 EUR
The standard package includes:

20 jump tickets
shared 2-person hotel room
breakfast, dinner and wine (not unlimited)
pickup from VLC airport or Castellon train station
all coaching and perhaps a few parties

The lineup
We will have over 20 coaches in total during the event and we will gradually be adding names to this list over the summer.

  • Andreas Mosling
  • Bas Verstegen
  • Floris Drevel
  • Jasper van der Meer
  • Johannes Bergfors
  • Martijn van Dam
  • Oscar Asfura (Masterclass only)
  • Petter Stensvold (Masterclass week 1 / Paradise week 2)
  • Will Penny (Masterclass week 1 / Paradise week 2)

On video: Willem de Groot

The planes
We are running two fast C208B Caravans during the camp. That gives us enough lift capacity for 80 participants / 20 groups.

How the camp works
You’re put in a small group with three, four or five other flyers based on your skills, experience and interest. Every group has a dedicated coach working hard to push your personal level as far as possible. Coaches switch groups every few days to offer you flying and teaching style variation. The participant/coach ratio is a total average. To ensure the right fit for all group levels the group size may vary. Low level groups, students who need 1-on-1 coaching, and groups that are working on basic skills like head down, will be more likely to have a 3:1 ratio, while more experienced groups can often handle a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio and tend to get the more experienced coaches. If you sign up with your friends, you can request to form a group together and get your private coach.

For freefly beginners
If you’re a total newbie, or just want to learn a new technique or freefly position, you probably need some 1-on-1 coaching. For 1-on-1 coaching you’re put in a group of 3 participants and the coach will rotate between the three of you. For the jumps in between you can practise homework assignments by yourself or with your other group buddies. If you progress far enough during the week, you might switch to small group jumps to bring your new skills into practice. When you’ve done seven coached 1-on-1 jumps and want to do more, you’ll have to cover the slot for the coach as well. You can do that from your 20-jump package if you have jump tickets left. If you are unsure if you have enough experience to join the camp, ask us!

Accommodation
The standard package includes a shared two person room at the brand new RH | Silene**** Hotel & Spa, right next to the dropzone where we also have breakfast and dinner including wine.

When you sign up you have the option to upgrade to a single room (245€). If you are on a budget, you can choose for the option to book the camp without hotel and arrange your own accommodation and food (340€ discount). After you sign up you can request to extend your hotel reservation to do some more jumps before or after the event.

Bring your mum (or any other non-skydiver)
Castellon is a great place to hang out, even when you stay on the ground. You can bring someone to stay with you in your room and join your meals and the parties. You can book this option through the sign up form (420€).

Travel
The weekends are travel days. Week ONE includes Saturday Nov 2nd where you can join the Life as a Pro conference in the daytime and the main Paradise party in the evening. The official arrival day for week TWO is Sunday Nov 3rd but you can extend your stay to start on Saturday and join the conference and party. Spain is great for train travel and there’s a train station in Castellon. Valencia (VLC) is the closest international airport at 1h drive, Barcelona (BCN) is 2h30.

Payment
After you fill out the registration form, you will be asked to pay a 500€ deposit (1000€ if you book both weeks) to secure your slot. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining amount should be paid latest two weeks before the start of the event.

To reserve your slot you need to agree to our general booking conditions.
