Paradise is a small group freefly skills camp that feels like a boogie. It’s our most famous skills camp, finally back from a long break! 2023 was the 8th edition of Paradise, but only the second time in Castellon.

IN SHORT
This is the perfect camp for all levels: challenge your ninja moves and slice up the sky with top notch coaches or learn basic new freefly skills like head up, head down or angle flying in a small group or 1-on-1 setting. This is a great opportunity to combine personal progress and kick ass jumps with making new friends at a paradise location. The event includes the typical beach jump and a decent party.

The camp runs Monday – Friday
Your jumps are pre-manifested each day

We land by (or on) the beach
We stay in a 4 star hotel & spa right next to the DZ
Your stay includes breakfast, dinner and wine

The setup
We aim to provide a totally care-free event, so that you can fully focus on learning. Everything is taken care of, from your hotel to your food and even your jumps are pre-manifested ahead of time. We make sure that the coaches are highly qualified to teach you, and because each coach has very few students, they’re able to give you their full attention. The camp runs for 5 days and we aim for 6 group jumps per day. The camp price includes 20 jumps and extra jumps can be added on site. The participant to coach ratio is 4:1 on average and every group has minimum 3 and maximum 5 participants and one coach. Low level groups, students who need 1-on-1 coaching, and groups that are working on basic skills like head down, will be more likely to have a 3:1 ratio, while more experienced groups can often handle a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio and tend to get the more experienced coaches.

The planes
We are running two C208B Caravans (with blackhawk conversion) during the camp. That gives us enough lift capacity for 20 groups / 80 participants.

For advanced flyers
You’re put in a small group with two, three or four other flyers based on your skills, experience and interest. Every group has a dedicated coach working hard to push your personal level as far as possible. Coaches switch groups every few days to offer you some flying and teaching style variation.

For freefly beginners
If you’re a total newbie, or just want to learn a new technique or freefly position, you probably need some 1-on-1 coaching. For 1-on-1 coaching you’re still put in a group of 3 participants but one out of every three jumps is coached. For the jumps in between you practise homework assignments by yourself or with your other group buddies. If you progress far enough during the week, you might switch to small group jumps to bring your new skills into practice. If you are unsure if you have enough experience to join the camp, ask us!

How the camp works
You’re manifested with your group and your coach in the same load for every jump. Together you can decide to do a jump with the whole group, split the group into smaller groups or do 1-on-1’s. It works like this: if you jump with the whole group, all jumps are coached. This is the standard setup. If you split a group of 3 participants to do 1-on-1s, you do one coaching jump and then 2 homework jumps by yourself or with your other group-buddies. So in a day with 6 jumps you would do 2 coached jumps and 4 homework jumps. A 4-way can also be split into two 2-ways, doing every other jump with the coach, etc. Together with your group and your coach, you can change this plan on a daily basis. We do our best to put you in a group with others that have similar levels and wishes, so you don’t end up doing 1-on-1s when you actually wanted group jumps or the other way around.

If you sign up with your friends, you can request to form a group together and get your private coach. The participant/coach ratio is a total average. To ensure the right fit for all group levels the group size may vary, but will not exceed 5 participants per coach unless requested by the group.

We aim for minimum 6 group jumps per day. With perfect weather we can do up to 30 group jumps in 5 days. 20 jumps are already included, extra group jumps are 38€ including coaching fee and coach ticket. We recommend all groups to keep jumping but doing more than 20 jumps is not mandatory. If we can’t finish the 20 jumps due to weather, we will refund unused jump tickets. Cost for coaching and event organisation can never be refunded.

Accommodation
The standard package includes a shared two person room at the brand new RH | Silene**** Hotel & Spa, right next to the dropzone. It includes breakfast and dinner at the hotel and water + wine with dinner.

When you sign up you have the option to upgrade to a single room. If you are on a budget, you can choose for the option to book the camp without hotel and arrange your own accommodation.

Bring your mum (or any other non-skydiver)
Castellon is a great place to hang out, even when you stay on the ground. You can bring someone to stay with you in your room and join your meals. You can book this option through the sign up form.

Travel
Arrival day is Sunday 17 December, departure is Saturday 23 December. You can request to extend your hotel booking and do some more jumps before the event.
