IN SHORT
Push your skills in a week of dedicated coaching in a small group. This is an authentic skills camp, focused on personal progress. Wether you need to work on your basic sitfly skills or want to fly advanced dynamic lines, we have it all. At Heli Camp we do group jumps only, no 1-on-1 coaching.

This camp has two unique features:
– All jumps are made from the tailgate of an MI-8 helicopter with an incredible view over the turquoise Balaton lake.
– Accommodation at the dropzone and three meals a day comes included in the price.

The coach lineup
Bas Verstegen
Floris Drevel
Jasper van der Meer
Jeremy Brazier (AUS)
Jesse Jaber (US)
Martijn van Dam
Vincent Brazier (AUS)
Willem de Groot (Filmmakers Workshop)

The setup
The participant to coach ratio is 5:1 on average and every group has minimum 4 and maximum 6 participants and one coach. Your commitment is expected, that means: get up in the morning and join all the group jumps. You will be put in a group based on your experience and every group has a dedicated coach that works hard to push your personal level as far as possible, while focusing on safety and teamwork at the same time. You get to fly with several different coaches throughout the week. We aim for 6 group jumps per day. With perfect weather we can do 30 group jumps in 5 days. These extra jumps are optional and can be bought on site.

Jumping days are Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday are travel days.

Can I join?
There is no minimum jumps or licence requirement, but a minimum skill level requirement. You need to be safe in head-up in a group of four. That means that you need to be able to hold a sitfly position for a whole jump, go faster and slower, and start your break off by first transitioning to the back to check your airspace. AND you have to be able to stay in your quadrant in an easy track or angle jump. That means that you need basic heading control.
If you are unsure about your skill level, ask a professional freefly coach or send us an email. We don’t offer 1-on-1 coaching at Heli Camp, so if you want to learn something new, like flying head up or head down, consider signing up for our PARADISE skills camp in stead.

The location
At one hour from Budapest, overlooking the largest lake in Central Europe, Skydive Balaton is one of Europe’s most professional dropzones. Two MI8 helicopters, a huge flat grassy landing area, and a smooth manifest. The DZ has several types of accommodation and a campsite.

The dropzone layout
The dropzone has two areas which are situated at 15 minute walk from each other. The “Restaurant area”, where breakfast and dinner is served, where we watch dayvideo’s with a drink and the “DZ area”, where we spend most of our daylight hours for skydiving and lunch and where all the standard rooms and also some deluxe rooms are located.

Accommodation
Shared accommodation in a standard two person room on the dropzone is included for 6 nights. The standard rooms are airconditioned containers with 2 single beds at the DZ area, with shared toilet and shower facilities. You can upgrade to a deluxe room with private bathroom as long as they’re available. We have deluxe rooms available at the DZ and at the restaurant area. We have very few single rooms so they will be booked very fast. For real privacy you can bring a tent or camper or you can find your own accommodation. If you opt out of accommodation & food, you get 500€ discount.
