Adventure Boogie

Adventure Boogie 2017

Bovec, Slovenia
June 5 – 10

In June 2017 we embarked on a totally new adventure. This is a freefly boogie where you get the chance to do more than just skydiving. You’ll get to enjoy the spectacular Slovenian landscape from the sky, from the water and even underground. At this event you’re challenged physically and mentally in many different ways. And the best thing: you’ll have a magical week in any type of weather.

Bring your partner
Bring your partner or your mother (or anyone else who doesn’t skydive). They can join our campsite, parties, excursions and all outdoor activities.

The Setup
The main event is a freefly boogie with coaches, who are organizing group jumps all day. You can decide your own jumping rhythm and day program, but we help forming groups that make sense and we try to keep groups together during the day. This way you get some of the benefits of a skills camp, but with a boogie feel to it. The goal is to have fun but also to learn and progress.
You pay a one time registration fee of 200 EUR and then you buy as many jumptickets as you like for 28 EUR each. This includes coaching fee. These jumptickets can also be used for other outdoor activities, like kayakking, caving and canyoning. So for example, on Wednesday morning you go venture deep into the canyons of the Soca area, with ropes and huge waterfalls, and then you come back to the DZ around midday for a couple of awesome freefly jumps with a beautiful view over the mountains.

The complete outdoor program is still being constructed, but we can tell you this:
– all activities are guided by fully licensed instructors
– most activities are for a half day, morning or afternoon
– the price for an activity is usually 2 or 3 jumptickets, depending on duration
– there will be sign up lists at the DZ where you can sign up for all activities
– it’s up to you if you want to do a full outdoor week with a little bit of skydiving, a skydiving week with only one outdoor adventure, or any other mix
– with most of these activities, you experience the world a little bit differently after it’s done

We should add that this is a ToraTora boogie, so obviously you can expect some social entertainment in the evenings as well…

Am I good enough? – LIGHT package
The answer is yes. The group size for organised jumps will be around 7-8. That means you need to at least be able to safely join an 8-way track, angle, head-up or head-down. But, if you don’t have that level yet, you can still join: for the LIGHT package you will only pay half the registration fee for the event. You can buy jumptickets and jump as much as you want, yourself or with friends. You can join all parties and outdoor activities, and you can buy some 1on1 coaching jumps whenever there is a coach available. If during the week you get good enough to join some group jumps after all, you can get single LO jumptickets for 5€ extra.

The location
Slovenia is a spectacular country, in some ways comparable to the landscape of Norway, Switzerland or New Zealand. Bovec is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, and on top of that, it has a dropzone!
The airfield is situated next to the mountain village Bovec, in a green valley bordering the Triglav National Park. It’s surrounded by mountain peaks and right through the middle of it all runs the clear green Soca river, famed for it’s world class kayakking and rafting possibilities. The village is a lively outdoor sports town with plenty of little restaurants, where one euro is worth three, compared to Switzerland or Norway.

Accommodation
There are several affordable sleeping options. Most of us will stay at a campsite, 8 minute walk from the DZ. We have a large camping field reserved just for the boogie, where we can enjoy a little campfire in the evening. 5 minutes further, there is a nice hostel where you can book a single bed in a 6p room. At the same distance there is also a hotel for people seeking a bit more comfort. You can reserve any of these options on our registration form.

Getting there
If you don’t want to drive there, you can fly into Ljubljana (LJU) or Venice (VCE) and rent a car. They’re both 2-2,5 hours drive from Bovec. You can use the facebook event page to find others to share a car with. You can also take a train to Most na Soci and a bus from there.

To reserve your slot you need to pay a non refundable registration fee of 200€ and agree to our GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS which you can find here.
